Here you will find pieces of my heart,
footprints from my past and dreams of what may
yet be. You will not know all about me, however
many times you come to visit, to read, to look
and to listen. Why?
|
|
Alas, we are all of
us mysteries, books of secrets, stardust made in
the image and likeness of God. Marvels that they
are, computers are limited in what they can
convey. A couple can share a home, a life, a
history of hurts and happiness and still their
lives’ are secrets. But every glimpse behind the
mask, online or in the flesh, is a moment of
real intimacy (you see into me). I think we were
made for this; for community and relationships,
it is where we find healing and hope and love.
So welcome to my gift exchange! I offer my
experience, strength and hope.

This is
where my faith seeks understanding.
Here I process, ponder and question.
Who am I? What is real? Who do I want to be? |

I
am deeply religious and deeply flawed. I am biased and
open to new insight. I am compassionate and
cantankerous. I am living with a chronic illness that
reminds me often that life is fragile as orchids in
December and strong as ancient evergreens. We are, all
of us, living and dying a breath, a kindness, a minute,
a hurt, an hour, a forgiveness at a time.
In my life, there is more of sinner than of saint but the quest for
holiness, the mystery of being and the always hungry,
thirsty desire for God are what most interests, excites
and motivates who I am. It's a grand adventure; as deep
as eternity, as wide as infinity, as real as wheat and
wine.
Is it possible to be a mystic in the Laundromat, waiting for the whites to
dry? Can the delight for Vespers by candlelight and a bowl
of blackberries and whipped cream peacefully co-exist?
How might one live a religious life in a post-modern
world? What happens when we die?
Is it possible to clean the bathroom and
practice the presence of God?
How to keep a heart pure, a dream fresh? What is the secret to perfect pie?
Why is it still so hard to say "I'm sorry"?
